2025+ Yamaha Jetblaster Sponsons - Play Series
Designed for fun!
This new Sponsons Series has been developed specifically with the recreational rider in mind.
When we first rode the 2025 Yamaha JetBlaster, it felt like a ski caught between identities. Drawing on WaveBlaster heritage while being positioned toward the Sea-Doo Spark segment, it promised speed—but on the water, it didn’t quite deliver the balanced, playful experience many riders were expecting.
One thing was immediately clear: the standard sponsons made the ski feel touchy and unpredictable, especially with small steering inputs.
Our Design Solution
Our goal was simple: restore balance and bring the fun back.
We redesigned the sponsons to create a neutral, confidence-inspiring feel, allowing the rider to control the ski with body position—not fight against the hull.
Key design changes include:
-
Mounting the sponsons parallel to the hull with a 10° angle for even water flow and better stability
-
Tapering the paddle (blade) for predictable steering and smooth corner exits
-
Creating a 1:1 feel between rider input and ski response
The Result
✔ More stable and predictable handling
✔ Reduced twitchiness at small steering inputs
✔ Improved sliding and corner exit
✔ Better rider control through body movement
✔ A JetBlaster that finally rides the way it should
